Their Presence- Part 1“It’s a dream.” The girl said to herself as she woke with a start, immediately beginning relaxation mechanisms her therapist had taught her.Breathe. She thought to herself, inhaling a deep breath and holding it for a slight moment, making sure the air was coming from deep within her chest, pushing her stomach out a bit as she filled with air, only to release it slowly through her nostrils. On the bright side, she was beginning to get used to it. The dreams came nightly now it seemed, and not for any reason she could pinpoint in particular. She calmed for a moment before she cringed, trying to force her gaze not to wander over to the clock but failed miserably. 3:22. Which presumably, since she had taken a moment to relax, told her that she woke up at 3:21 on the dot. Again. Really, perhaps things wouldn’t be quite as unsettling if it wasn’t so….orchestrated, it seemed.
